The Club has been selected by Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) to be the educational lead for the Helen Bernstein High School’s STEM afterschool program.

This program will expand The Club’s educational platform to Bernstein High School to assist college-bound high school students in learning about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) programs and encourage their pursuit of careers in these fields.

Salesian will provide educational support and tutoring in an after school program located at the High School. Students will also gain Club membership with the ability to participate in other programs.

Being selected by LAUSD to manage and offer this program at Bernstein High School highlights the Club’s educational success in the Los Angeles Educational Community.

The Club’s “Beyond the Bell” is a recognized successful program at Roosevelt High School and was ranked tops in its performance levels for the 2013 - 2014 school year, exceeding its targeted goals by 20%. The success of the program at Roosevelt has opened the door for the Club at Bernstein High School

The Club continues to reach out to local schools in high-poverty areas to assist kids in graduating high school and either entering college or selecting a growth career. The Club is committed to follow the mission of Don Bosco in educating kids who are high risk and marginalized by society.

A special thanks to Tam and his team for their outstanding commitment to the kids in East L.A. and now in L.A. The Team understands Don Bosco’s mission and has, is, and will continue to successfully fulfill that mission.

Success comes with dedication and commitment, thanks to the Club’s Staff this performance level is now being shared with another local high school.
