The National Digital Arts Festival celebrates members creativity and technical ability in five areas:

Each festival is the culmination of one of the five Digital Arts Suite (DAS)

programs: Music Technician, Photo Technician, Movie Technician, Web Technician and Design Technician. Based on a theme, members compose music; create photo illustrations, graphic designs or Web sites; write screenplays; or produce short films. While not required, administering the DAS programs is the best way to prepare members for festival participation.

Each festival operates on three levels: local, regional and national. Clubs host local festivals, choosing one winner in each category from up to three age groups. These winners then advance to a regional festival hosted at a

designated Club in each region. The winners of this round then advance to

the National Digital Arts Festival.

The Music Making and Photo Illustration festivals run concurrently, as do

Web and Graphic Design. Movie Making and Screenplay Writing follow a

separate timeline. The works of regional and national winners are displayed at BGCA conferences, on YNet (www.bgcayouthnet.org) and on a photo gallery on the public Web site www.bgca.org.
