Helping children mental health during COVID 19!
Updated: Sep 18, 2020
Since March our world has been in quarantine. Our children and young people have suffered tremendously. Their social life has stopped, and the computer screen has consumed them. Internal research shows that children and young people have suffered from depression and loneliness during this pandemic.
After calling their parents and seeing the need to have the children and young people involved in something safe and fun, the Salesian Family Youth Center decided to take the risk and to offer our famous Camp Salesian!
But our desire had to go hand by hand with the CDC guidelines and everything in our power to maintain our children, young people, and staff safe.
The club put together a game plan that covers all the bases on how this summer program was going to run, also applies to raise funds to run the whole summer experience, if you would like to see the Letter of Intent and all the plan, please click on the link below.
If you are receiving this email, it is because you are part of our family and have a deep care for our community's children. I want to ask you to please consider donating to us. Your support will provide the children with an environment that will help them during the pandemic.
If you have any questions or suggestions, please let me know.
